Non-Surgical Facial Enhancement

All our cosmetic treatments are performed by Mr. Ken Place who has trained with Dr. Bob Kanna. He constantly reviews his technique and keeps up to date with any developments.

Muscle Relaxant

We use Botox® as a temporary solution to smooth out wrinkles on the forehead, around the eye area and frown lines. It can be used if you have a high lip line.

It can also be used for certain conditions, such as Bell's Palsy. The photos show Sarah who has Botox® to smooth out the lines caused by Bell's Palsy. Sarah had Botox® as she was not happy with her deep frown lines as a result of Bell's Palsy. Her forehead is now completely flat. Her husband said "This is the first time in 10 years she hasn't looked angry".

A solution of Botox® is injected into the muscles. It takes 1-2 weeks to take effect and will gradually wear off after 4-5 months. If you continue with treatments then the effects can last longer.

The procedure takes about 10 minutes, and is generally painless. There should be no immediate signs that you have had the treatment.

In our experience the only side effects are a slight headache and a mild tingling feeling in the area that has been treated. Before any treatment we will provide you with a list of any possible side effects and an after care information sheet.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers-half completed

Carol has dermal fillers into her naso-labial lines (her smile lines from the close to mouth). The photo shows the right side completed. Fillers can also be used in the glabellar region (above the nose).

A dermal filler is a natural solution, (hyaluronic acid), that is injected into the wrinkle line.

Fillers can last between 9-12 months. After which the area will gradually return to its previous state. They take about one hour treatment time and a dental block will be used to numb the area before injection.

Our experience with fillers has shown us that side effects are minimal.

The area can be slightly swollen afterwards and can be sore where the injections have been, once the anaesthetic has worn off.

Lip Enhancement

Lip enhancement can make a subtle difference to your lips. These fillers can redefine the contour of your lips.

The filler is injected under the skin. A dental block is used to anaesthetise the lip area before injections commence, however it can feel sore after this wears off.

The treatment lasts for most patients between 6-12 months.

Due to the sensitivity of the lip, post-treatment swelling can last a few days, during which time the lips might appear slightly uneven. The swelling can be reduced with a cool pack.
